The project took me around the world, starting at New York Fashion Week before heading to the Philippines to profile transgender model and advocate, Geena Rocero. Next it was profiling aspiring chess master, Rochelle Ballantyne in my backyard of Brooklyn. Then to Joshua Tree to join Tina Garnanez in her personal struggle to overcome PTSD. And finally, out to L.A. to profile pop-star Becky G during her rise to teen stardom.

Throughout the process, I played roles from Director of Photography to Field Producer, sometimes co-directing, and creating story edits. The final series was launched in Summer of 2015 with CoverGirl’s #GirlsCan social campaign.

What’s life like for one of the world’s biggest pop stars? I learned firsthand while shooting Season 2 of MTV’s Docu-Series “Kesha: My Crazy Beautiful Life”.

Over the course of four months, I was given full access to document Ke$ha’s life – We racked up thousands of miles as I joined her at the finale of her European tour and was embedded on her U.S. tour. We went shark diving in the Bahamas and bear tracking in Kodiak, Alaska. I spent time with her family in Nashville and worked closely with her brother Lagan to create eight episodes that will air on MTV in the Fall of 2013.
