In the Summer and Fall of 2014, I worked with Soledad O’Brien and her production company, Starfish Media Group, to create a series of positive women profiles for CoverGirl’s #GirlsCan campaign.

The project took me around the world, starting at New York Fashion Week before heading to the Philippines to profile transgender model and advocate, Geena Rocero. Next it was profiling aspiring chess master, Rochelle Ballantyne in my backyard of Brooklyn. Then to Joshua Tree to join Tina Garnanez in her personal struggle to overcome PTSD. And finally, out to L.A. to profile pop-star Becky G during her rise to teen stardom.

Throughout the process, I played roles from Director of Photography to Field Producer, sometimes co-directing, and creating story edits. The final series was launched in Summer of 2015 with CoverGirl’s #GirlsCan social campaign.
